Can't believe I am asking this , but how do you add up columns on excel?

use the sign that looks like an M on its side or use the formula =sum(cell1:cell2) cells 1 & 2 been the first in the column 2 been the last you want to total

Is has a bit. Got many colums to add though. Is there a way to do it without typing each column individually?

Click on first figure

hold mouse button down. Highlight required to empty cell. Click auto sum icon or in formula in drop down menu at top.
