Ive been to see my doc today and mentioned my shaving rash down below
and promptly got a rollocking
I shouldnt have attempted to shave while taking a certain medication for blood thinning
In case of damaging /cutting myself .
Well....that told me |

Shaving isn't a good idea anyway as it leaves you more susceptible to STIs - you may not be bleeding but you may have abrasion wounds."

"Strange, I'm (Steve) on blood thinners and nobody mentioned not shaving. It'd be interesting to see if anyone else had been warned not to.
I was gobsmacked, i really was, as i hadnt heard of it before ????
Im just looking now online and cant find anything.
Maybe its just her ? she a little old fashioned and she also said ...."that hair is there for a reason"

Look online for the news report on the research on hair removal and STIs, particularly herpes - it was sometime last year. I can't remember whether it covered using thinners or not.
