Just got to the Dentist and I'm fine until I get here. I open the door and can hear the Jaws music in my head, and my heart starts racing.
I hate them with a passion!!
Do you ? |

yes I hate them got to go later today for check up.......my fear I think comes form years ago as a child I remember seeing my mum who went to get a tooth taken out........the dentist broke her jaw, had to leave the tooth half hanging, and she had to stay like that for 6 weeks and have surgery as well to repair. her face was so swollen and black and blue. she could only eat through a straw for the six weeks |

I was terrified up until the age of 18 (which was my first ever trip to the dentist) - parents never took me and seeing the Dentist films growing up and all these cartoons that portrayed them to be evil sadistic monsters, the idea of going to one made me break out in a cold sweat!
Then after giving in to a wisdom tooth, I signed myself up and got there to meet a GORGEOUS Australian man. He was absolutely lovely, made everything as painless as possible and he just naturally put you at ease (plus, staring into those lovely green eyes while he worked was a massive pain-killer on it's own). - Luckily my teeth were in perfect condition so I had nothing to be worried or embarassed about. ^^
I look forward to my visits now. Would love him to do other things to me in that chair!

Hate dentists - all of them!
Had a traumatic experience when I was younger at one and it has put me off for life.
The dentist in question was struck off and behind bars not long after I had started to go and see him (new to the area), thank god! |

Not been to the dentist in over 20 years and never had a problem
Only problems I've had previously are from botched fillings when I was a youngster
They are overpaid for what they do and mercenary when it comes to undertaking procedures - many unnecessary

Hated my dentist as a child. Horrible man. Changed dentist new one was lovely and caring. Managed to do my fillings without any needles. Lol. Then unfortunately he was involved in a car accident so found a new sexy young one. Have to see him needs must. |

Did you throw in the odd wink, or a tear he may have been real gent and offered to wipe your tears.
More to the point did you wear?
Nice little mini skirt whilst going commando. Give him something to remember you by. |

I used to hate the dentist when i was little, needed a tooth extracted and it cracked n split in half inside my mouth and all i can remember was it being such a loud noise.
When my daughter came a long it vanished, same with my fear of spiders. Thought im an adult ffs, these are petty things and i'll be dammed if these fears get rubbed off onto her because im a pussy and cant handle something.

Just back from 2 hours in the chair in Manchester Dental Hospital with a 3rd year dental student...
So gentle and no rushing to fit as many patients in to as short a time as possible!
If you need dental treatment and live close to a dental hospital become a student patient its highly recommended!

What a brilliant idea " YYY!
The treatment is fantastic, the students are so keen to get it right and the tutors are in the background making sure nothing goes wrong!
I could not afford to pay for the treatment I am getting and the NHS would not fund it...Plus I am helping train the next generation of dental surgeons!
Its a real win Win WIN! |
