I feel for you.
Look on the bright side though, one less nail to paint. |

"Does the door need repainting?
no the doors fine, so's the dog's my toes gone black tho I think I may have broken it "
Elevate it and apply ice. There's not a lot they will do with a broken toe anymore. X |

Sounds like you have. And the bruising gets worse before it gets better. I broke the toe next to the big toe. The bruising spread halfway up my foot. More discomfort than pain though after the initial accident (dropped a paving slab on it).
As has been said, there's nothing the docs can do. When I went they just looked and said by the amount of bruising it was broken. Nothing can be done realistically in the way of support. You just need to be careful for the next few weeks till it sets. I lost a bit of movement in mine but nothing that gets in the way.

I can sympathies with you. Broke both my little toes two days apart, hitting the blanket box on the landing when I lived with my parents. Was no fun for a few weeks going to work with motorbike boots on. Only blessing was it was winter and feet were freezing by time I got there |

"tape it to the next toe to ensure it sets straight"
Thats a very good idea.. and save hours sitting at accident and wait for hours on end emergency department ...
if it gets worse over the next 12 hours then i would go to the dreaded a and e..
If you go now - they will only tell you to come back once the swelling has went down before they can x-ray it.. |
