My cats do similar, or drink from manky puddles. I read that most UK water is too chlorinated for cats to like straight from the tap. Water that's been standing for a while is de-chlorinated by evaporation, and is more to their taste. The only water they drink from us, is water that's been left over from a boiled kettle and cooled.

Mine used to drink tea if you dared turn your back on your mug.

Arse End of the Universe, Cumbria

Diamond (thinking of renaming her PyschoKitten is trying to get past my legs to have a go at Travis who is chilling by my side on the sofa...in the process I'm getting one or two scratches

The vet thinks she may have a bit of Bengal in her which could explain the fearlessness and lunacy

You are going to call Diamond Psychokitten? Well, after saying she scared the cat in the bath perhaps you're right.

Mine drinks out of glasses left near the sink, then pushes them on the floor. When they've shattered, she stares at them like 'how did that happen'. I now own plastic glasses.
