Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound |
I saw a child on the bus as I was coming home with eyes that looked like they have seen everything and been here before. It was like seeing a very old soul. Beautiful but slightly troubling.
Do you see eyes and see the age of the soul rather than the physical appearance of a person?

I see a lot of that and then the pessimistic side of me tells me that I also see people that are so hopelessly blind to it.
A lot of the first in children, but then oddly a lot of the second in young adults and then some older people from what you might have once called the "Me Generation" |

Yes, sometimes I see that.
It is more apparent in kids I find as they should be happy, excitable, etc. That's what you expect.
I actually met a girl on here and you could see in her eyes that she was troubled... And she was. After having a food chat with her, I could see why.
Some people have some terrible things to deal with. |

Sad souls shown in the eyes are more common than I would like to see.
He was a curious toddler, doing the usual toddler things. His face was smiling and that extended to his eyes too but there was also a depth to them that look like he had experienced everything already. |

Nothing like gastronomy to raise the mood!
Sorry, that's not funny |

Perhaps he's more sensitive and perceptive than the others. I do agree that those old souls can be disconcerting when your paths cross. They should be all open and naive, not already filled-in.
But that's our perception.
It ain't necessarily so (nice earworm, that). |

"Know exactly what you mean lickety. As a child my nan used to say I was an old soul.
"
Mine too and other older people. If she was still alive I would have to ask her if they have aged further or remained the same. |

All of the time. I see souls I have known before and have an instantaneous connection with them that transcends age, sex, race. Magic

"It can't be a bit earth ripping sometimes those things that arent meant to be seen, or transcends the normal. I often don't know what to do with them.
"
I'm not sure there is anything to do with them but acknowledge that you noticed something.

True, just I often think its a reaching out, and something in you recognises them or it within them. And you have to keep walking...
Feel a bit lost at those times |

I know all too well what you mean, it saddens me, but I swear some children were born old. My child has no idea on popular music, doesn't talk about fashion but sits in her room listening to greats of the 60's, it's like she was from the series 4400 lol |

Eyes are windows to the soul. I think you can see those, regardless of age, that have seen tragedy of some form or another. Also those that are content and happy. It's very hard to lie with your eyes. They are one of my favourite features in a person.. |

"Could it be maybe just a physical thing.as in how the eyes are set, colour etc? Maybe inside he was just a normal happy toddler"
It could be. Big brown eyes in a little toddler face. |
