When was this?
Should never turn anything electronic on after getting it wet as it will do it even more harm.
Take it apart as much as you can, stick it in a load of rice and put it in the airing cupboard for at least 48 hours before turning it on. |

"Bloody ninjas! "
I dropped mine in a puddle for a minute or two and it died.....but on the third day it rose again!! It was totally unreliable for while, and then recovered fully and is fine now a year later. |

"I was at 6am but I noticed it in bath at 12pm
6 hrs in a bath of water "
I suppose once it's wet it's wet. A minute or six hours will make no difference.
Try the bag of rice trick. Hopefully your phone will live again. |

"Pull it apart (battery etc) put it on the windscreen demister air outlets, turn on the fan to 'full' on full heat & go for a very long drive!!"
Or put it in front of a fan heater, - cheaper, but nowhere near as much fun!! |

Sorry, I didn't mean you in particular. I know other people that do that.
I wish your family member a speedy recovery |

The sound of screeching tyres and the smell of burning rubber as a spectacular U-turn is excellently carried off |
