Castleford

Morning all,

I'm travelling down to London today but not booked a hotel yet. Getting a bit tired of reading lame reviews online so I thought I'd ask here. Can anyone recommend a good quality hotel with comfy beds?

I'm at an event on Park Lane tonight so I don't want to be too far away.

Any ideas?

Mike

Yeah there's a few, I was hoping for a recommendation from someone here. Its not about price, its about practicality and comfort and I know you guys and gals would be honest in a review

I'll keep looking

Even their carpets are luxury, I'd pay the price of a travel lodge just to sleep on the carpet in the lobby!

Norwich

The Dorchester or the Hilton are about as quality as they come.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

What do you like in a hotel? There are loads around Park Lane but you can pay a lot for not a lot there or a LOT for something lovely.

How near do you want to be? If you don't mind travelling a bit then The Zetter House and The Hoxton are both great. A lot of travelling but great rooms at the Rafayel. Really handy go with the suggestion already given of the Dorchester.

Grosvenor house has slipped a bit since it became a JW Marriott

Still a 5* hotel though.

Don't bother with the Connaught. They could be empty but if they don't know you, you still won't get a room

Thanks All,

I'll have a look on the train down.

My meets in London have always been hit and miss.

Tonight is a black tie affair so you never know, I might get lucky

Here's hoping
