"It's World Mental Health Day today (10/10/13).
What will you do to keep good mental health today?
"
It's not like you to wait 14 mins to get a news related thread up. |

In all seriousness, this. I encourage the kids to pay attention to what's around them too.
We admire the stars and kick up the leaves on the ground and stop to look at brilliant sunsets.
No little van though... |

He has a point though you do tend to trawl news sites looking to put the latest news story up. |

Is that a problem? Why? Better than "single men are shit" or "does my cock look big in this?" threads.
Mental health is an important issue and it affects every one of us in one way or another. |

You have my sympathy - my mother's Alzheimer's has affected us so deeply. I hope she skips some of the stages. |

No. No more than you might explain why you think I trawl news sites. I will not respond to further posts from you on this thread. It's purpose is WMHD - not you or me.

I think if you come out with a statement "People like me" you should explain what you meant. |

"looks like you beat me to it this year"
Sorry. It's been on my mind today. I met a young woman at work who said that 'how are you?' is a big question but that it takes a big person to ask it and really want to know the answer.
It made me think about the older people and care thread the other day and what it would mean if we all ask that older person to actually tell us how they are, instead of being stoic and putting up with things. |

I suppose this can be about what we do for others too.
I guess I know one or two people who 'might' be on some form of psychiatric medication.
It won't hurt me to phone them up for a chat instead of the usual every few days text back and forward.

It won't hurt you and may give them a nice lift. I always find doing something nice for someone else gives me a lift. |

for me personally, I write LOVE on my wrists. I do this often when I'm feeling particularly low.
For those who are interested look up 'To write Love on her arms' on facebook, or google TWLOHA.
I am strong |

As its world mental health day I am going to board the mogodon spaceship I have parked in my garden and take a trip to the planet Zig Zag. There waiting for me will be 20 virgins awaiting my every desire after having a pleasuring morning its back on the mogodon express to chase stars in a Galaxy called FAB3453 which is ruled by one Professor Brian Cox with whome I will be discussing the meaning of life and why you get bits of fluff between your toes.
Delusional.............? Not me baby!! |

Maybe Lickety is actually involved in working with people with mental health issues or has relatives with etc..
bit of an assumption to suggest only 'news sites' provide such info.. |
