Read and heard government minister blaming the badgers because not enough of them have been killed in the current cull going on.
Whether you agree with the cull or not this is one of most ridiculous comments i have heard from a politicoan for years. |

Actual infections in humans are rare, mainly because pasteurisation kills any bacteria in infected milk; also, cattle are randomly tested for the disease and immediately culled if infected, but can still be used for human consumption.....
How do these facts add up to any price increases ????? |

I'm not convinced the public is generally aware that infected meat and milk gets into the food chain and if in fact they do, why is so much money paid in compensation to farmers ? |

The thing I find daft is that they set a trial period and an estimate of how many would be killed. The trial period is over so they are extending it to get closer to the estimate of the numbers to be killed. Are the contractors on a price per badger scalp rate?
