Do you have one of these? The person who you were convinced you were going to be with forever and always.
Mine now lives in Australia with his wife, happily married. He was the one who got away! |

"Nah...l think people who you are meant to be with you will be with...no such thing as the one that got away... "
I agree with you on this one.
If it's meant to be it will be!
I also believe that certain things in our life's happen for a reason |

it was an odd situation, i spent 4 years of my life convinced no one could ever love him more then i could.. then i fell out of lurve with him.. thats when he decides that perhaps i was right. 3 years on he still wants me but im totally over him.
our timings were just out of sync |

You may all laugh because of my age, but this has just happened to me on Sunday, day after my 20th.. 2 years together, I'm still madly in love with her but she doesn't feel the same, wouldn't wish this feeling on anyone |

As others have said, if it was meant to be, we would still be together. There is one (possibly two) I do think about from time to time, and would be there if ever they called.... but I still accept that in terms of relationships, they werent meant to be. |

The one that got away ....nay I find hand cuffs keep them right where I want them ...
being serious no I don't believe in the one that got away . whats for you wont go by you as they say . if two people are truly meant to be together both parties will move heaven and earth to ENSURE it happens . if a person walks out of your life its just wasn't to be . |

Nope. Then again i've never really believed in the "one that got away" line of thinking.
I also think a lot of people end up with/ stay with partners who they consider a soulmate, but are clearly wrong/ destructive forces in their lives. A soulmate should compliment and complete you.
Signed,
An ever growing relationship cynic. |

Age has nothing to do with it, and heartbreak should never be laughed at - it can destroy you from the inside out.
When I was 20 I had to deal with the sudden death of my fiancee and the woman I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. |
