I'm too inert to make an effort n travel far  but at least I can accommodate. I consider my boundaries being Stamford Huntingdon Wisbech etc n after that I'm stymied. Altho I did ONCE make the SUPREME effort n travel to LINCOLN for a couple - sheeeeesh that was a knackering journey |

The original Orton Longeville was very nice until the development corporation built around it, Stanground was also a nice place but once again its become over built and the council moved some of the troublesome families from welland estate there and it lost its charm, shame reallt as im a true born and bred Stanground water rat |

Orton Wistow is quiet, some parts of Orton Brimbles are okay, Orton Waterville is the nicest Orton. Goldhay and Malborne - nope. |

All points of the compass have their bad areas..
Have lived in Werrington (at least three addresses), North Bretton (multiple addresses), Orton Brimbles, Dogsthorpe, Stanground, Woodston, Eastfield. The irony is that I don't come from Peterborough and have lived most of my life abroad or in London etc.
We live in a small village outside Peterborough because we get more house for your money,
In our experience people only want to commute around the 30 mins mak, beyond that the house price reduces substantially |

The social was about month ago now at a pub - the turnout was around 60 - 80 n it was first one I'd ever been too. I enjoyed it! Quite a number of people were friendly although inevitably there were a few cliquey ones - but u get that at any get together. I've since met up with some of the people who were there so it proved a useful exercise
I don't do clubs - that lifestyle doesn't interest me.
I think there is also another Peterboro post from couple days ago in meets/events page |

Don't attend many socails but the last one was good and lots of friends attended.Always welcome local meets/fun here as cant travel ourselves and don't expect others to. |
