And I'm talking in a medical way.
I'm 46 and never had mine checked,,I really know I should.
Just wondered if other guys of similar age have been checked and if so ,how often? |

I have been checked and I think it is every five years for me but my father has had prostate cancer so I must be high risk. If u were you I would ask GP |

This is really important. Boys check your balls (or share a shower and get a friend to do it with soapy hands) girls check your boobs (or ditto as above) and boys over 40 or so get your prostate and PSA checked.
A warning sign is waking up for the loo in the night, especially if you haven't d*unk more late in the day.
And any ladies who start getting IBS symptoms or bloating should ask to get their ovaries scanned.
Any decent GP will show you how to self check, give you info and take any concerns seriously. |

Had my first prostrate check last year. It was ok and not at all uncomfortable. Only lasts a few seconds. It's no problem at all. |

40 is probably a bit young unless you have symptoms or a family history, but there's no harm in discussing with your GP at one of the regular check-up appointments we know men don't make.
Remember, more men die WITH prostate cancer than die OF prostate cancer. |

Mine was enlarged (this was about 5 or 6 years ago), the symptoms were frequent urination and lack of decent flow strength. It ended up having to be lasered which was a weird experience but the first piss after the post op catheter was removed was bloody awesome. I thought it was going on for ever
If you are at all worried get it checked. |
