I can't judge, I'm frequently late on account of the day starting too early in the morning.

I hate lateness, if I'm not 15 mins early, I'm running late.

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

I give them 30 mins then I'm gone. Being late shows a lack of respect.

when we are going out we are always late.

nothing to do with a lack of respect, quite the opposite actually.

if we are meeting someone, then for me, a shower, shave and clean clothes is fine

for V EVERYTHING has to be perfect, from the hair to the outfit, and that shizzle takes time, much longer than im happy with, truth be told, but she has to feel right otherwise it wont be a good night.

I don't mind someone being late as long as they turn up eventually! (within reason).

That being said, I'm rarely ever late myself and if it looks like I'm going to be I'll make contact with the person I'm meeting to let them know.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

Why can't people send a message saying they are running late?

There's really no excuse to be late these days. Everyone has a mobile phone. I always insist on getting the number 1st

There's plenty of unforseen reasons for being late (roadworks, traffic, accidents, car won't startetc), what's unacceptable is not making contact with the other party to let them know that you're not going to be on time..

I loathe lateness

Even on hospital appointments if it's at 2 30 n gets to 3 o'clock I go n complain n make a fuss n tell em they should allocate bookings n time management better

These days if I don't get first appointment I reschedule

It's just effing rudeness on their part!

I'm in the Oscar Wilde club:

"I'm always late on principle, my principle being that punctuality is the thief of time"

"I'm never late, for I always arrive exactly when I intend to"

I'm forever texting that I'm running late. When I arrive I usually say, "well I'm worth waiting for! "

We wait 20 mins then if no contact we are off. It's as if the late people think their time is more important. It's rude and disrespectful.

If we are ever running a bit late then we will always text or ring.

Maybe V could start getting ready earlier, or arrange your meet up half an hour later.

I'm exactly the same. I'd be mortified to be late for something and am usually quite early. My sister has a very flexible approach to time so much so that I wont arrange anything with her for a set time anymore, just say I will see her when she arrives!
