Anybody else using this as a chance to give up smoking?
I've not had a cigarette since Monday and finding today the most difficult so far.
I've downloaded one of those stop smoking apps on my phone and every time I get a craving I check how much money I've saved and how many cigarettes I've not smoked..... Just need to get through today |

"I think anyone that stops smoking deserve credit beats me why a particular day should trigger it but to those serious about it good luck."
To be honest that's how I always felt about it but I was determined and decided I needed a date to focus on. 1st October seemed as good as any! |

"I'm trying to summon up the courage to switch to e-cigs. "
I've got one, the type you put liquid in, it's not great to be honest but it helps when the craving gets really bad (until now when the battery needs charging!) |

I've nearly been off them a month now ,I do have the odd craving here and there hut they only last for a few seconds or so,.so yes I does get easier. Chapix tablets make it so much more easier. Good luck to you or anyone giving up it anit easy. |

I did this last year and lasted till Christmas. Then I quit again in Feb and haven't smoked since. I get a craving every so often, but according to the NHS, the nicotine withdrawal is only for 48 hours, it's the habit and triggers you have to look out for |

Well done you! I've decided to stay off the booze this month too as I know that's a trigger as is coffee. ... so by the end of this month I should be much healthier having had none of my 3 favourite things! |
