It is difficult to just turn your back on a job. I just have and it is really mentally challenging. Fortunately my hubby can cover the bills, however, if this was not the case I would have waited it out and looked for another job and then told them where to go. |

I would never walk our of a job with no where else to go to. I would also never leave on and terms as you never know when you might need to go back to them or when it will bite you on your ass.
My ex used yo walk out of jobs all the time and it used to annoy the crap out of me cos I'd be the one having to tell my dad I couldn't afford the rent cos I didn't want any arguments between me and the ex. |

"Yes. 9 years as a manager for Sainsburys. Walked in, told them I was finished and walked out. Never regretted it for a second"
must be something about supermarkets
I was a manager at ASDA, I handed in my resignation one day telling them in no uncertain terms why, went back to uni and have a much better job now which I love, tho I admit working my way thro uni as a single mum was hard and I struggled at times, its been worth it |

In once had a bully of a boss
Nothing I did was right or good enough
But the customers houses I worked in were more than happy
He was just a selfish bully
I'd never quit a job but one day he just got to me so much
I snapped , had him against the walk and threatened to knock the shit out of him
I grabbed my van keys and got his keys and launched them over a load of gardens
I told him to stick his fucking job and walked it 11 miles home
Best walk of my life |

If I was academic and had good qualifications. I would have done it years ago. I have made things hard for them by leaving and leaving a job undone, but that's it. Cant afford the sack. |

A job I had once I basically told my boss to shove it. I only lasted a few months. He was mean, nasty, horrible, manipulative and a total misogynist. He didn't like me and actually told me he didn't so he made my life hell. He basically forced me to resign really. Best thing i ever did. The stress of actually going in to work every day made me feel physically ill. I walked out and never look back. And things turned out for the better. |

No I never have... And yes it has... After two solid years of patient waiting, listening to the little turd telling everyone how bad they were at their job... The bullying, the lies and the "you'll never last".... We learned today that he has been asked to leave.... Tomorrow...!!!
Ya gotta love karma.... |

I used to be a DM for Currys, going back 11 years ago now! Not only did I walk out of my job I also moved 250 miles away, just decided I needed a clean break from everything!
And I don't regret it for one moment! |

I once (albeit pissed at a Christmas party) told a boss in no uncertain terms that he was a prick and a bully who treat his employees like crap and no one respected him for it. I git hauled into the office I'm the new year to get a handshake, a promotion and a payrise as he said I was the first person with enough balls to stand up to him!! Worked out alright for me |
