one or other of us flies every other week.
each of us just takes an mp3 player, headphones on when it takes off and off when it lands.
try to have a sleep.
i only got on a plane for the first time 3 years ago, now its almost like its second nature.
funny thing is, im more scared of going on the ferry and sinking, than i am of flying lol |

I'm terrified of flying... I need to eventually get over my fear of flying. I wouldn't even consider it for a short flight. Would have to be somewhere I couldn't get to unless I flew lol.
I have tried too fly... I just have total panic attacks. I have only flown once since a incident when I was 3. |

Do you have a tablet or iphone?
BBC Iplayer allows you to download (as does Sky Go with a subscription) so you can watch programmes offline. Stick your headphones on (loudish) and indulge in a favourite programme, you will soon forget where you are. |

Now that's thinking. I wonder if Netflix will work. |

Depending on your fear levels, consider a hypnosis session - a phobia etc can be cured in one session with the right person.
Practice relaxation before you fly, so that you've got it to a mastered/mistressed level. Then you can reaccess this state of mind more easily when you want to. Also visualise flying, so that you see yourself being relaxed, as well as looking through your own eyes and notice how things appear whilst you're relaxed and feeling good up in the air. The more times you do this, the more you've already started the habit of being relaxed when flying.
Good luck! |
