just had the most funniest de ja vous moment, i took my son down to the recruiting office today to join up and it brought back memories of when i joined up in 1985, lost memories were suddenly rekindled word for word. I wonder if my son will have the same feeling when and if he has a child that wants to enlist!
Now i just feel fecking old!!!!!! |

Your too old, I served 13 years and came out before you went in let alone your son, good luck to him, I am sure it will make him a better person (not saying he isn't a good person now in fact to want to serve, he is in my opinion already a good person).
There will be good times, great times and occasionally life experiencing times that whilst not enjoyable will be good when he looks back at them as I am sure you and I do.
All the luck in the world to him. |

I think its great that your boy has your support, and we wish him all the best.
My dad was in 1st Airborne Division of Parachute Regiment, and was later involved with the Territorials, however when I said I wanted to join the RAF, he talked me out of it. He said he didn't want me to go through the experiences that he did.
I joined our local steelworks instead |
