lol well, let me just say two years back the new tomtom did not have a housing estate on that been there for ten years.

If you registered it when you bought it they normally send you alerts for updates.
But if not then plug it into your computer every 3 months and check for updates... |

Apparently there's a big naval exercise on in the next few weeks off the west coast of Scotland and part of it will be jamming radar and the result will be sat navs on land over the west coast will stop working during that period. Wonder what all the delivery men will do! |

Never updated mine in my car. Its disc is 2004. Not going to at £400 either. Very occaisionally it doesnt find a road or a post code. Sometimes it has me in a field when I'm on a new road, thats amusing, sort of. If it doesnt list a post code I just call who I'm visiting for the name of the road next to theirs. |

Try EBay as there are often very very cheap options there |

thanks for the info peeps.. someone said it could fix other problems like vague destinations.. got a navman that got me near an address but was about 100 metres off! |

I bought a Sat-Nav the other day.
What a useless piece of junk.
I had it on as I drove around Woburn Safari park. At one point it said,
"Now, bear left" I looked left it was a monkey having a wank.
Looked nothing like a bear.
