So last night, I was let down by a no show. So I posted asking for a meet and someone I already played with messaged me and we arranged something. A couple of minutes later someone else messaged me, I declined his offer and told him someone else was coming over. A couple of hrs later, I find 3 messages saying "I can come over" etc.
Do people think pester power works?  |

I've arranged a meet with someone and then checked their profile later and found they are still on 'Meet Today'.
I'm not sure if they are either,
a, looking for another meet after I've been,
b, forgotten to come off of meet today,
c, hoping to arrange something for another time with anyone else,
or d, using me as a fall back if the Swedish netball team don't contact them for a meet that night....  |

I'll confess; mostly because there's a plan happening. I AM DESPERATE FOR COMPANY.
I've changed my profile 3 times to stop coming across as so. I've also changed my beliefs in play partners a few times and found you can't please one without 'grossing out' the other party.
When I changed it the second time there was ONE person who would not take no for an answer. Even changing their sex JUST to talk to me. I'm flattered. As previously mentioned on my profile, I don't chat up, I get CHATTED up. However pushy people in general are such a turn off and now I'm often cautious of being too pushy with anyone but trying to show my interests in them.
The trick is for me to finding out whether someone is interested in you and responding and sometimes just generally forgets to respond and knowing they are not interested. I think that's an skill many men struggle with. The cat and mouse game I personally find hard to 'get'. |
