Is there only me thats put there real age on there profile as ive seen some quite old looking 30 yr olds on this site and the men seem to be worse than the women xxxx  |

Not sure what people get out of bending the truth.
Can understand variation for privacy reasons but then why not add years rather than deduct.

My hair went white at 35, 12 months after I met my partner. My eyebrows still don't match as they are black, some 18 years later. I don't lie about my age, but don't use hair colour as a gauge. Famous people like Alistair Darling or Philip Scofield went the same way.

I'm honest about my age but the amount of guys that change theirs age on thei profile just to get round my filters is really annoying we're not stupid and can roughly tell you aren't then the age you say you are! Can't wait til admin change it so once you set your DOB it's permanent n you can't change it |

I am what i am 45
Do i wish i were younger? Yes, but im not going to lie about my age, there is no point, i cant disguise the hair is going grey and thinning rapidly, i cant hide the battle scars of life, nor would i want to.

Thats one thing I really can't understand most sites fix details like DOB why allow people to change them later whats the point? |

Completely agree, I've had guys message me who put on their profile that they are in their early 30s and when you look at the photo they send along with it, I think you either took that photo the morning after the night before or life has dealt you a mega rough hand or I think "ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! There is no chance on this planet you are my age" laughable really. They just get deleted |

We met someone who's profile said he was 40, wen we met he was actually 48, to be far if he hadn't of told us we wudnt have known but i couldn't understand y he took yrs off himself as there r plenty of people lookin for all different age ranges on here  |

Completely agree, I've had guys message me who put on their profile that they are in their early 30s and when you look at the photo they send along with it, I think you either took that photo the morning after the night before or life has dealt you a mega rough hand or I think "ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! My first meet from here was like that, he was allegedly 43, more like 53. The pic he had though was probably closer to his alleged age though |

I put my real age. Can't see the point of lying. Have been contacted by guys who have admitted to changing their age to by pass my filters but that is just as likely to be raising their age as lowering it. |

We like people for who they are & not old or young they might be, we still know people who for 10yrs have never aged...Peter Pan or what lol!
We are the ages we are & if people like or don't like its their choice because this is us, you see a lot of posts about the dreaded over 50 thing but to honest its never effected us with meets. |

What annoys me is when people keep adjusting their ages to bypass people's age filters. I've had this happen to me, sadly all of them were single men.
Really you shouldn't be able to change your date of birth once entered, in my opinion. This is the only site I know of that allows this. |

I notice most of the reply's on here are women or men under 45
The evidence is quite clear if you look at profiles and veri's
single ladies have a mix of ages, but couples seem to meet couples of a similar age, but single guys are usually younger, and often by quite a bit younger.
Is this because the women like younger guys or because the hubby like to see his wife with a young bull, or is it a performance thing.
lets face it a woman at 60 is as good as a woman of 20, yes she's not as toned or flexible, but makes up for that with experience
A man on the other hand peaks at 25, and whilst he may have maturity and technique, I doubt there are many who would choose 55 over 35 |

That is probably quite a sweeping statement I feel. There will b women of 60 who may previously have been long in a marriage where the sexual activity with hubby may have been uneventful n she has only limited skills. Everyone plays at a different level n with what feels comfortable n I'm sure there are adept as well as cackhanded 'lovers' of every age range and both sexes . And the number of years of sexual play does not necessarily improve the quality of one's performance. |

Got to love the profiles that have the age set to one age i.e. 38 (to get past all those 'under 40' filters!) yet in the text it says "Hi I'm a 43 year old..."
I asked someone about this the other day and they just came out and said that they'd done it to get past filters because people didn't want to meet over 40s. What is the point of going to such trouble to contact people who aren't going to be interested in meeting you?? |

I imagine the dichotomy of fixed age parameters is that people people tie themselves within a certain age range when what they generally mean is there is an expectation of what that age range will yield
For example they envisage certain physical/stamina/empathic interests in someone within the specified range
Where the age limitation filter fails is when your expectations of someone (say 40) fails to translate in2reality whereas as someone (say 44) would easily fulfil all requirements
Admittedly some people, sensibly, post an age range as a general guide whereas others totally filter out receiving any contact from people slightly beyond the parameters
In essence someone of 40 can look older than someone of 45 n I often muse how often people miss out on a perfectly enjoyable meet because their age set preference is so entrenched  |

Met a guy a number of years ago who told me he was 62, proceeded to tell me a fact about himself, so Google became my friend.
I checked and yes what he told me was true, but unfortunately for him to have done what he did, it was illegal. He finally admitted he was 10 years older |

I met a woman a while ago whose pics were lovely but I am so sure she lied about her age. Her photos were flawless and in person she had a lot of wrinkles! I'm not bothered by the wrinkles but why lie if you're intending meeting people?? Do they just rely on someone giving them a sympathy shag?? Also I have been using this site for over 5 yrs and there are people on here from that long ago still displaying the same photos! There is someone for everyone on this site and why someone would lie about anything including their age is beyond me! |

I googled a woman on here who told me a bit about herself, including her full name. On here, she is 57 but, out there, she is 73! We never met.
Oh, and I am really 62. Absolutely no merit in lying about one's age. |

The thing with the age thing is some people look either really good for the age they are and some don't. I look considerably younger. I have told a fib, not a big one. When I told a couple guys I lied about my age, they thought I lied up?! In reality most people think I'm about 25. If your pics look a certain way past a certain age a lot of people think the pics are old, and you musn't really look like that. |
