Yes I'm sure it does. I always shave because I just don't want grey pubic hair.
You can buy pubic hair dye though. I grew mine last year (thankfully it was still blonde when it came through) and I dyed it bright purple - fancied a change |

.. thats why I wax underneath to save looking like a wiry badger. It also gets much more sparse.
