I am in a relationship with a gorgeous lady. We are not married and never intend to be. Much as I hate labels, I find it awkward when I talk about her.
Girlfriend sounds like we are 6 years old.
If I say partner, people assume I am gay
OH, seems to be a swinging term, as none of my mates or colleagues know what I am talking about.
Wife/fiancee is a no no
Calling her 'me bitch' starts the feminists off.
Any suggestions?

"Just discussed this with a friend of mine the other day, we couldn't up with an answer either but she did suggest a local colloquialism ..."The Woman" "
If you called me "The Woman" I'd not be best pleased. Now if you said "this is my woman" I wouldn't object.
I often refer to my boyfriend as my other half, partner, himself. None of which insinuate I am gay I think.
I wonder why you just can't tell people that this is the lady who shares your life.... |

"Call her by her name. If they ask her if she's your wife/ gf/ oh.... run away. "
But if I talk about her by her name and the person I am talking to does not know her, they dont know who I am talking about |

"Partner is ok ....
If anyone wants a cum slut whore bag
Im open to offers - sensible ones mind you I do have a heart "
I tried that when I introduced her to my family...
"hi nan, this is Jen, my cumslut whore bag" says I.
"hello dear, would you like a nice cup of tea?" says my nan.

Whatever you chose Ben, choose wisely as the faux pas of an incorrect introduction can follow you around for ... ever! . |
