Are 9's not sensible? I can easily get shoes not heels though but you dont wear heals with socks and I dont really want to wear heels if I can. Socks though its a nightmare.  |

Thats me with the 9-11s and it curls up in my shoe or if i pull them up the heel bit is half way up the back of my leg and I look like a dogs sausage. |

I tried cutting and sewing up but it looked like a badly stuffed kebab on the cut end and I was shy about taking my shoes off. |

My mother did that (she skipped the boiling bit, just washed too hot) with my favourite thigh length jumper. After it came out of the tumble dryer, I just cut it open at the front and sewed a full length zip on; it was a lovely thick winter coat for the neighbour's lad (12 years old). |
