On boots or shoes repaired as much these days, ? or do you throw the shoe/boot away and buy some new ones ?

I get my work shoes, and favourite shoes, soled and heeled. Why spend $70 on a new pair when an old pair can be fixed for £20-30?

I'm not sure whether Converse All Stars can be re-soled for less than the price of a pair of new ones.

I tend to wear most my shoes into the ground. Yorkshire, see.

I only buy stuff that is quality... Rather have a pair of £100 good fit boots repaired and get 3 years out of them...

Learned my lesson on primark pull on suede heel boots... The arch thing snapped...heel went horizontal... Barefoot taxi ride....

Even better is I take them with me to belfast as cobblers are cheaper over there
