Anybody had any experience on here of having their webcam/mic remotely hacked? it comes in the form of a black and white jigsaw piece with an unhappy face showing on my cam screen, and taking over my settings, transmitting without my permission to an unknown source. It first happened after i clicked on a cam in one of the chatrooms, now it even happens while i'm watching BBCIPlayer or netflix. this happened to anyone else on here? anyone know how i can resolve this issue? any input gratefully appreciated

Never had it but sounds like it may be a virus? Have you got anti-virus software?

If you google the problem you will probably find much more on it.

In Your Bush

Double bag the laptop and bury it at least 4 feet underground immediately. Under no circumstances allow that nasty virus to spread. The cam wank brigade will go into meltdown.

The jigsaw and unhappy face is usually the sign of a crash in your Flash software.

How do you know it is transmitting to an unknown source, what messages do you get?

does the light indicating your camera is on turn on as well? yes the unhappy jigsaw is indicitive of bad flash playef or crash. best advice I can give is to update your virus defitions and reboot in safe mode. do a full system scan and see if anything turns up.

Is it catching?

Do we all need to wear masks and latex gloves?

If masks and latex do it for you the crack on.

All latex does for me is give me an allergic reaction... mind you my missus enjoys the extra swelling

How do you know it's transmitting, if it's transmitting to an unknown source??

Who at the unknown source told you?? And could you not just ask them what source they're viewing it from?
