It is just another day, unless you have bought into the commercial hype,
all ads will now feature a happy nuclear family around a table laden with GM food,
a turkey pumped full of antibiotics and water, reared in a black hell hole and slaughtered for your dinner. |

It's a long term religious day.. even if not religious it's a family day. I spend no more than 600quid on xmas.. bare in mind I have 6 kids too... It's not about presents.. and I refuse to spend money I simply don't have on things they don't need.

Yay! I have not seen my parents for 3 years so we're going over this Xmas. Last year they were on their way to the UK for Xmas and my dad's papers were stoen before they got on the Eurostar...they had to go home so it was a very sad time but this year will be brilliant!
Then New Years Eve on a 'barge' on the river Seine in Paris with friends! |

I did that 2 years ago....never again at that place! They were mostly foreign and only one person said "thank you" and he was English! The others just came up and said "give me this, give me that"! 3 of us worked our nunnies off, set up and decorated a room, cooked all different meals to suit all and that was all we got in return! Don't get me wrong, it is not the reason I did it, but it certainly would have been a hell of a lot nicer to at least be thanked!! Grrrr! I would do it again, but at a different place!
