"A gammon joint cooked in coca Cola tastes divine .10- 12 hours on low
heard that was a popular slimming world fave,, diet chicken"
Beer can chicken. Take the top off the beer with a can opener. Drink half.
Insert the rest, still in can up the chook's 'cavity' and position upright in oven.
Cool normally. |

No exciting recipes, just a tip - root vegetables take ages in a slow cooker, so cut them small and have more liquid than you think you need for stews. |

It can save you a lot of money too. You can get a rolled lamb breast for less than two quid and that can serve a few people. Same with cheap stewing steak, so long as its more meat than anything else. have fun with that |

I love the new one that's got an aluminium lot so you can use it on the hob to brown things first then straight on to cook slow. I'm gonna invest in a new one this month and that's the one I'm going for!! |

"For us shiftworkers they are just life savers. Our two faves are minted lamb and pork in cider with sage dumplings. Nom nom

Never thought about sage in dumplings. I usually use horseradish or thyme but sage sounds nice |

I stick anything in mine and wouldnt be without it.
The best thing is....you can buy the cheaper cuts of meat and this thing will tenderise it beautifully.
great for curries too |
