the Rich need help?

Just saw something brief on the news about the rich complaining about government, saying its hard for those who earn 60g.

Seriously? are they struggling to put petrol in their nice sports car?

Try living on less than 10g with no benefits at all, no help either. If you cant look after yourself and your family comfortably on 60g then you have something really wrong with you.

Housing to expensive, MOVE, hell move to Redditch, you'll be able to buy a 1bed flat with that wage, buy a 3-4 bedroom house in 2yrs on that wage.

Bet you still go on holiday several times a year.

Makes me so angry that people who have more money than they realize, budget better. I bloody have to, i have to skip meals, walk to work, no holiday in over 10yrs, i spent 10+ yrs in higher education but its impossible to move as can never afford to.

If they have worked their way into that position then fair play to them. I wouldn't knock anyone for achievement.

Agreed but there are some people who have chosen a valuable vocation and, no matter how hard they work, will never be on that sort of income. We all have to tighten our purse strings at the moment and for those of us who have less it is somewhat galling to hear those with more moaning about it.

We all have our lot in life. I deal with mine and always try and improve it ( to a certain extent) where I can. If others like to complain I let it whoosh over my head

I'm presuming that you are single? And that you're talking about a single 60k+ wage earner?

I appreciate what you're saying, I have been their as a single mother when my eldest two were tots. Believe me I appreciate having to watch every penny and skipping meals to make sure they were looked after.

I will not disclose how much we earn, other than we dont qualify for any state help. we work incredibly hard for our money and yes at times we do struggle. We have 4 kids to support which takes a huge chunk of our wage. After then paying for everything else it doesn't leave much in the kitty. We also don't take holidays every year, oh a sports car? i wish!!!! paying the rent and clothing the children is more important. Someone earning 60k also pays double the tax you pay. Just because on paper it may say we earn X amount, that is nowhere near how much would actually end up in their pocket!

We actually don't moan, but why shouldn't we? As I said we have worked hard to be where we are and it's been tough to get there.

You say it's easy to move somewhere cheaper. Well my response to you would be its jus as easy find higher paid employment or take on a second job. That's what we both did to improve our lives. You obviously have good qualifications if you've been in higher education for 10 years... I would imagine there would be some very good positions. Maybe it's time to stop learning and start earning?

Generally we spend what we earn, and it makes no difference if we earn 5g or a 100g,

Therefore everyone needs more.

I am a homeworker and earn About £3 an hour, so have to work 100 hours a week to live how I want to live, I could spend less and work less, but it is my choice.

You cant complain that others have more when they have worked for it.

We all live by the amount we earn, some live better with material things they buy.

Others with less income live better lives, with family and friends etc.

The old saying of money cant buy happiness is as true today as its ever been.

You just have to make the most of what you have,or find another way of increasing your wealth.

I know when our kids were young,I had 2 jobs and worked every hour I could.

We had everything we wanted and holidays 3 or 4 times a year.

By the way,in those days we had no minimum wage,so had to work more hours anyway.
