A lot of the fluctuation in weight is down to the amount of fluid in the body. There's quite an art and science to attaining a specified fight weight by means of controlled dehydration in the 24 hours or so leading up it. Once the weigh-in is done and dusted, then the boxers are free to rehydrate and take in the necessary carbs etc for the fight. |

because they basically dehrydrate to get themselves to the weight they need to... and they weigh ins are now 36-48 hrs before fights...
they said that joe calzaghe use to put on almost a stone and a half in that time...
nerd time now... thats why the WBC in world title fights have another weigh in 12 hrs before saying you can't put on more than 9lbs from weigh in |

crazy amount off weight to put on but if as you say they dehydrate themselves to that degree then that does go some way to explaining it ... don't think I could put that much weight on in a month ! |

back in the day , the weigh in was same day as fight , now it nearly 36 hrs before , lol, and its possbile to put a stone on , but if honest when i read thread i thought it was about amount of title weights, we got light, super light, a bit more than super but not enough to call it heavy light , cause that would be nearly light middle ish then theres light middle ish to middlie and middle to kinda more middleish but a bit heavier"" |
