Does anyone know, can you exchange your home with someone else who also has a mortgage? If so how do you go about it. We wanna move that's all closer to work but wanna cut out the cost of estate agents fees etc |

it is becoming more popular as an option, most certainly here in Scotland. Some legal firms, builders do it as a part exchange type sell: it can also be done between the buyer and seller, but always do it via a lawyer |

You do not need an estate agent to sell it buy a home it's just trying to find a home that isn't through an estate agents that's all. There is a few classified sites that people advertise there homes for sale on like gumtree. For the price of an estate agents I would use one though as you can get fixed rates or down to around 0.5% rates from a lot of them. Also if you go down this route I would put it with 2 agents and make sure that the rate is just as low as if it was only with 1 of them.
A lot of agents push ones where it is with more than one agent more so they don't lose out on there rate to the competition.
