The way I act when I see a large bodied and long legged spider scuttling around, you'd think it was an eight-legged monster in full combat gear, holding weapons of mass destruction 
Have you any illogical phobias? |

I hate them too. My boy is my hero now though and always catches them for me. Before I would have killed them with a shoe but he won't let me and gets very upset x |

Years ago when i was a lad we where training in Belize.
At nite while in your ham-mick you would here them hit the poncho as they fell and run around in the leaf litter. Hatred nites in the jungle.  |

I hate them too if one dares come in my house and I see it it dies no question at all if its in the bath it gets bleach on it and washed down the plughole |

It's the way they run AT you......we had kamikaze ones in one house I lived in, used to jump off the friggin walls at you!! |

It's the way they run AT you......we had kamikaze ones in one house I lived in, used to jump off the friggin walls at you!!"
That sounds like the babboon spiders in South Africa. There horrible little beasties. They jump as well. |

I'm too frightened to get too close to the spiders so hitting with shoes only works if someone is there to do it.
I'm also scared that you don't get them and they fall from Walls to the floor and you lose them.

i have a true phobia, i cant even look at pictures of them.
this is a fact that will make everyone sleep more warilly.
you are never more than 4 feet away from a spider, you wont see it but it's there. |

I would love to hold a baby lion and even love it when people raise them and and the adult lion treats the human as family. I wouldn't jump into a lions den though! even with a treat for the lion, I think I would be dinner. |

I'm not keen on spiders but I would never ever kill one unless it posed a direct threat (eg, when a bird-eating spider fell onto me from a tree once I hacked it with my machete before I thought about it).
The fact that I have a problem with spiders is exactly that - the problem is MY fault, not the fault of the spider, so I see no justification in punishing it (or any other defenseless creature) for my weakness. |

I made my mum watch, This is the end. Last 5minutes i noticed a huge spider crawl up the wall and go all the way across the room right behind my mum.
I didnt say anything til the film ended though and by then it had moved. |

I don't like spiders, but I couldn't kill one. It's my fear that makes my thoughts irrational about them. If I can capture it in a glass and put it out I will. No harm comes to any 8 legged creature in my house...
Now earwigs.. *shudders* they freak me out !!! |

I rescued a woman from an earwig at tesco yesterday ... her and the shop assistant were clearly in distress so I pounced on the critter, picked him off the checkout and dropped him on the floor and without thinking said to the woman that she should keep her legs closed for a bit  |
