Public displays of affection. Do you like and are comfortable with it ? Or would you rather cut your own arm off than have someone hold your hand in the street?

It used to horrify me but I think I might be mellowing in my old age.

We don't mind it. Aslong as it isn't two people eating each other's face off.

We always hold hands when out together and will kiss each other goodbye in public if we are going off seperatly.

Truro

Kate's very "touchy-feely" and I'm just the opposite.

She likes us to walk out hand in hand or on my arm.

After 32yrs I'm just getting used to it

little house on the praire

We always hold hands and the odd quick kiss, certainly wouldn't go in for full blown snog though

I see an elderly couple out walking together most days, it's not overly public displays of affection but it is something about the way he guides & protects her: I just love them and look for them passing whenever I am home.

Doesn't bother me, I think it's natural to hold hands with your partner

I love hand holding but full blown snogging is a bit much.

Old people holding hands-now that's cute!

I love seeing old people holding hands and being affectionate, shows youre never too old for romance.

I like the odd touch, arm round me or holding hands but the holding hands hasn't happened for a long time.

In a crisp poke on the A814

Nothing wrong with people holding hands etc....

Sucking the face of each other? No...not interested in seeing that when out and about....

I love holding my OH's hand, stealing kisses as we walk around, feeling him very stroke the top of my thigh as we queue for something or stroking his back.....

London

I like seeing couples young, old, same sex holding hands, showing affection towards each other, it's uplifting, makes me smile and think aaah, how sweet.

Vertical displays of a horizontal act, hair tugging, tongues tickling the others tonsils on the other hand...

Not something I tend to express - and its cost me relationships.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

A finger stroked over dinner at the restaurant, standing just that bit closer in the queue, holding hands as we walk down the street, the kiss on the top of my head... Yes I like it. I like seeing people be affectionate too.

Bridgwater - Somerset

Love holding hands and a little snog and a squeeze and a hug is fine.

If anyone doesn't like it, tough!

And it's good for everyone that likes to, old and young.

Herts

Nothing wrong with hand holding or a cuddle or a little kiss.

It's when I've been sat with people eating eachother's faces off that I've felt awkward and violated. XD x

Its very British to not display affection. If I was in a relationship I would not like it if my partner was embarrassed to show me affection in public.
