Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

Did anyone else watch this?

I liked the slo-mo footage of dogs shaking the water from themselves.

We watched it...it was lovely. Watched it with Monty, our mini Dachshund, was so funny with his head on one side wondering where all the dog noises were coming from.

perfect evening telly

The shake is genetically determined for the size and hair type of the dog. It was all very interesting.

When Monty shakes he almost shakes himself off his tiny legs...all the way to the tip of his ridiculously long tail, very funny to see

Do they stay little? If they kept that small squidgy face that would be nice.

I didn't know the Jack Russell isn't a breed.

Between this and the child protection thread, I wonder if Brits are perhaps more likely to interfere where the welfare of a dog might be at risk than when a child is involved?

I had a conversation with someone today about exactly that, some people will safeguard animals with everything physically possible, and turn a blind eye to child neglect.

I haven't seen the child protection thread.

Animal charities get more donations than children's charities. The RSPCA was created about 40 years before the NSPCC was even thought about. It's a queer country at times.

Why animal welfare is 100% donations if you exclude police intervention a huge part of child welfare is funded by the state and in total a lot more money is available to child welfare but thats as it should be.

Would the animal lovers here give up all their dogs if it saved one child?
