There you go an omelette is far better than sleep and late night cheese will give you cracking dreams when you do get off to sleep. |

I hate my insomnia. My insomnia and I have had many an argument over the years. Sometimes it likes to stay for days and days and prevent me from sleeping for days at a time. Usually my insomnia wins, the bastard. |

I think over the last 4 nights I haven't done more than just dozed really. Maybe an hour or so here and there of proper sleep. Sometimes my brain just feels really fuzzy like I'm a bit stoned or something, other times it doesn't bother me because I think my body is just so used to it. |

I have cyclic insomnia, although this batch is really bad, I'm only getting on average two hours a night, and so far it's been three weeks or more. I'm thoroughly shattered!
I go to bed around ten, lights off, sometimes I doze off for an hour and then I'm awake till the sun comes up!
Much prefer this though to the other side of the cycle when I sleep for silly amounts of hours (sometimes I miss a whole day!) |

"I may have it. "
Give it an hour. If you're still awake, get up and wash the kitchen floor.
Repeat as required.
If you're still awake at get-up time, at least you'll have a REALLY clean kitchen floor. |

Oh shush, no need for apologies! We all have things differently. Stress really does mess with sleep at times.
Hope things improve for you x |

I find getting up and going out helps. A walk round the village or I even do a supermarket run. Then I come home and get ready for bed again. It seems to reset my brain and often helps.
But not when I'm in the middle of a week or more of insomnia - though because mine isn't as frequent it's really sleep disturbance. |
