No just do the update, make sure it is plugged in though eg charging and it automatically turns itself off etc..

As long as your currently up to date with software it can be done over wifi no need to connect to iTunes

Settings, general, software update - press and yep it will do the rest.

No but wise to have it plugged it eg charger as it often can take time or prompts you if you haven't got enough battery life for it.

If you have iCloud on it automatically backs up anyway!

Nah!!!

It cocked up for me when updating to ios6 and I had to restore from a previous backup and try again, so I will definitely be doing it through iTunes on the ol' laptopamabob. I also backup to the cloud and to the computer.

I've had it for the last 3 months as I have a developer account. I love it visually, although I have to say some of the performance improvements are not that noticeable.

I wonder if Apple is brought to a stand still tonight like it was when iOS 6 came out.

Depends on whatever phone you have. iOS 7 beta 3 had all functions if you had iPhone 5, 4s list some and 4 lost others.. Not really a "skin" at all..

I know it's crazy but I'm quite happy with my 4 so I'm not upgrading until I have to. (break, malfunction, wear and tear, etc...)

Different flatter interface and recoding of some parts of the OS so the new iPhone 5S can utilise its new chip architecture and there tends to be a tighter coding for existing iPhones (ie some apps MAY be quicker when the developers update the apps)

Don like the fact that on a 4S your folder icons are now so big you lose them into page 2 of the folder.

And that's an improvement page 2 of the Folders but I would prefer more icons on page 1

Well it is the tool from which I am informed of information which I use in my work.

I also use it for video conferences so I can do a face to face with clients, I can also hook it up to a apple tv and show presentations on a client site.

So for me it's quite important

Ok techno gods. I've updated my 4s no problems 20 mins done and dusted but when I go on my ipad it just says software is up to date?? Any ideas?? It's a 32gb 3rd generation with plenty of space left on it

Started downloading three minutes ago. It went from 12 to 9 to 10 to 15 minutes remaining.
