Is there anything that shouldn't be asked on forums that require advice as I have read a few posts recently and a few people have said "this isn't the place to ask that". So are there things that shouldn't be asked on here? Even if its genuine advice they want. |

There are a few elitist posters that think its their way or the highway, especially where swinging is concerned, the lounge is for all types of stuff as long as its allowed by admin.

Probably a bit off track here but I'll never forget what me da' said when we visited that illegal chinese gambling den at the back of the laundrette.
He said "son, if ano one of them moves - even twitches - shoot them all!"
Looking back, I'd advise anyone else just to use a William Hill! |

Don't start a thread about how many convictions for x,y or z or the classic a few years back was the "my ex doesn't understand me" then go on to explain about a restraining order after 173 phone calls. It was eye opening to read and didn't last long. |

i'm only here a short time but this seems on the money. Any advice you need it seems at least one forumite will have an opinion/solution/sarcastic remark its what forums were made for |

I'd put locations of dogging sites in the 'shouldn't be asked' questions list. |

As femme says, as long as its in the rules. You will get some who think certain things shouldn't be discussed in here.
Medical problems usually get this response because people often assume that this is the only avenue of help you have gone to rather than healthcare professionals. They like to swoop in and criticize the OP before actually asking if they have done so.
Any matters pertaining to custody of kids seem to be inflammatory. As well as legal issues and the such like.
Main piece of advice is post what you want but be prepared that the keyboard warriors may attack. If they do just ignore them and do what youngest to do. |

If the medical question is 'should I take a little oval pill from a guy down the pub who says its Viagra?' - the answer is clearly NO.
The fact the questioner goes on to insist he doesn't actually NEED Viagra beggars belief. |
