I had to give in and put my heating on tonight ... and bought Brussels Sprouts today can't wait to have a roast and Brussels followed by bubble and squeak the following day ... love 'em or hate 'em ... my kids love 'em by the way !!!

Sprouts, my favourite, had some with a roast chicken Sunday evening - lovely.

I love sprouts! I'll halve them then sautee them in bacon grease then top with shredded cheddar cheese and bacon crumbles

Hate them. Right up until the age of 45 my Mum used to try to hide them under the mash and think that I wouldnt notice. Because they were 'good for me'.

Mind you she did used to put them on to cook on Easter Sunday so they would be ready for Christmas dinner.....

Love 'em, but they have to be fresh and cooked al dente, they are great with some cabbage and onion to make bubble'n'squeak accompanied by some fat Lincolnshire sausages

We had them with marmalade, ginger and crushed nuts with last years Xmas dinner.

I do that when our chef has cooked them at work he usually gives me a small bowl full his sprouts are beautiful xx

I have started to like them late in life, when I discovered how to cook them the way I like my veg, as in crunchy and not mushy.
