Hi, does anyone know if i can part exchange a car without the V5 certificate as i think ive lost it. Im going to have to ask DVLA for replacement, but im worried about long it will take to get back, and i can't part exchange without it. |

The registered keeper is not always the owner so your V5 isn't proof of ownership but I doubt a dealer would take your word that it's your car.
It doesn't take long to get a new V5 though, perhaps 7-10 days. |

hmm not sure i never was offered it bit then again i didnt need it has i had to wait 8 weeks for my car to be made but im sure if you ask they might be able to do some thing |
