Within a relatively short period of time it has totally changed our lives. Can you remember life without it or, more to the point, could you honestly live without it now?

I only had this conversation on Thursday evening.

It is a routine and a habit, and people have most definitely got out of the habit of old fashioned communication which I think is very important.

the net has changed my life completely, I am now visible to up to 440,000,000 potential clients, rather than a 100 on a cold wet market.

That made me really laugh!

Or make your own phone, well before mobiles were out....

Where there is a will, there is a way and I actually think minus phones, internet etc people make more effort.

To be honest I think you are right, I regularly keep in touch with relatives via mail- not email, good old fashioned hand written letters.

"Swinging would be a darn sight harder as well, lol"

I started swinging when it was through magazines, sending letters to a PO box number. I even met someone off Channel 4 teletext once.

So the Internet has certainly improved my life in at least one respect.

I do remember going to libraries and doing proper leg work research,it has'nt been around that long really,I remember watching a programme about the information superhighway and thinking wow that sounds amazing

I love instant information and communication,I don't want to have to live without it,but I don't rely totally on it either,id miss it like hell and have withdrawal symptoms but thats because it is so instantly accessible whenever I want it

Oh we were telling the children about the old dial up internet the other day and they looked stunned

Nothing better than a hand written letter, it conveys thought & feeling and there is far more enjoyable to read than just "arial".

I travel to places where I can't access it and it's usually bliss!

P.O. Box DE1 0NQ

It was bliss sometimes when I walked out of my front door, knowing that I was pretty much untraceable...... mobiles became a millstone around my neck.

Sure, it would be good to go back to those days where communication was by landline and writing letters but could the modern generation cope
