I loved the film but the book didn't live up to my expectations. Usually the book is better than the film

I can read the most disgusting disturbing horrors, but cant watch them at all. How wierd is that

Not weird at all. Watching an interpretation that disturbs you as it has visuals and music to heighten the fear is very different to conjuring the images in your own mind.

Not an easy read for sure and Oscar's one and only novel
