Smoking/ ani-smoking is a very emotive subject that practically everybody has an opinion on.... but 'diamondsmiles' what is it that you're trying to say?? Because like most of the others on this post, we're confused also!
In fact the whole swinging/ smoking issue is a hot topic for conversation & I'm surprised that it is'nt raised in the forum more often.
I sincerely hope that this is'nt a case of my just having 'taken the bait' because we joined this site to have fun ... not to offend people. However, we've been contacted by smokers for meets despite our profile clearly stating that we will not meet smokers ( yeah, we know- most people don't bother to read the profiles). Then, when we point this out to them we've been accused of having a 'holier than thou' attitude!!
We would not dream of contacting others for meets if we did'nt fit their stated criteria ( because we do read profiles).
Oh & offering to "not smoke during the meet" might seem magnanimous on your part but it's not really a compromise that many non-smokers would readily consider (I feel).
The irony is that we're not anti-smoking 'per se' & do of course have smoker friends & relatives.. but we'd choose not to shag them too lol.
My apologies if this is beginning to sound like a rant, it really was'nt meant to be! Everybody has the right to choose to smoke if they want to & nobody now, can claim to not know the possible risks to health involved should they choose to smoke.. but should'nt we non-smokers have the same right to choose to live (including 'swing') in a smoke-free environment... without being accused of victimisation by aggrieved smokers with a chip on their shoulder?
Now (lol)... let the heated debate begin!
happy swinging,

not all smokers have ill health lol smoking is no worse than drinking but people do that, my grandad smoked all his life, from being a young teenager right up to when he died aged 89, he worked down the pit till he was 65 so did a very manual job, never had any illnesses i can remember besides the normal flus and bugs that go round, i smoke and i go to the gym every day, i usually run about 5 to 6 miles on the tread mill as well as other workouts, ive never been in hospital in all my life exceot to have my kids, but i have to admit i never smoked while having them, ok so smoking can cause cancer that don't mean it will, my mother had cancer never smoked a fag in her life, ok so we know smokings not good for you but that don't mean ALL smokers are on deaths door lol
its each to their own, i work, i buy my fags myseld not out of other tax payers money, its my body if i want to take the risk i can, which is why i never smoked while i was pregnant because i dont feel anyone has the rights to gamble with someone elses health |

"id give up smoking if i was'nt so scared of becoming a reformed smoker!!
Even worse, you could turn into 2bonks lol"
Common sense prevailed with me so never ever touched the dreaded , hence not reformed here |
