using text speak!!
I'm just wondering what it is about text speak that men over a certain age think is a turn on...to anyone??
I was chatting to a 39 yr old, first message was fine, second message was literally all text speak! it really put me off and when I said so he got really arsey! I can just about tolerate it from the younger generation who don't appear to know any better but grown men! is it some sort of ploy to recapture their youth, I wonder?
opinions please? |

As a guy in his early 30's, I am ashamed to say that my generation invented text speak. I was around 16 when I got my first mobile and back then SMS was the the new emerging way of communication, but with tiny screens and a limited number of characters txt spk was a way to fit in as much info as possible. Nowadays with smartphones and unlimited free messages there is absolutely no need for it. I hated text speak then and I hate it even more now. |

I have to write text speak cos Ive got a note from my mum, yeah? And I have trouble putting one word in front of another and it's not funny either and that, yeah? And if you stop me speaking in txt speak that then you're depriving me of my human rights and stuff, yeah? And my friend Simon, he said its the iPhones autocorrect function that makes me talk all inane and thick and that you can all go to he'll.
And that.
