Good point - sometimes assuming they will be fine is not enough. I suppose it depends a little on how well you know them, what support they need and what you are able to give though? |

You never know - and if they are a friend, then they should matter...
I once didn't help, didn't notice how much a friend needed to talk, because he was so quiet -
That night he shot himself....

Hell that is so, so sad - it is not even whether or not you would have made a difference but I would imagine it left you feeling wondering whether you could have done something to prevent it? |
