What would you say is the greatest theme tune ever? In the history of television?

You have to go a long way to beat this...

Forcefield by Zack Lawrence... aka The Crystal Maze theme

Caruso got too big for his boots, thought he was bigger than the show, headed off to Hollywood...... and bombed. "

I wholeheartedly agree. He wasnt nearly good enough to start giving ultimatums over his stupid salary demands.

Shame Smits kind of gave up the ghost after NYPD Blue but then he had been around a while already. Remember him in Running Scared with Billy Crystal?

"What would you say is the greatest theme tune ever? In the history of television?

You have to go a long way to beat this...

Forcefield by Zack Lawrence... aka The Crystal Maze theme

It's not a telly theme tune but check it out anyway...

Search 'Kersal Massive' on YouTube.

I can't stop singing it.

Kick it Kev!

"Hill Street Blues

NYPD Blue

The best American cop shows by far

Jimmy Smits or David Caruso?

Definitely Jimmy, nearly shed a tear when his character died.

Caruso got too big for his boots, thought he was bigger than the show, headed off to Hollywood...... and bombed. "

I totally agree on all counts, and I don't rate Caruso as an actor..he seems very one-dimensional in the CSI Miami show, but coming back to the TV theme music, both were composed by Mike Post who did a bunch of others too, all pretty good including Rockford Files and Magnum PI. He obviously had a knack for it.
