I found £20 in the back pocket of an old pair of jeans. The child in me said "buy Nerf guns and sweets." The adult in me said "buy beer, Nerf guns and sweets." |

Have never found money out in public, but when sorting through my cupboards a couple of months ago, I found £170 in one of my purses that I had forgotten about. it felt like a win as I was not expecting it.
I remember when I was at university, one of my flatmates used to always "hide" a £20 in the back compartment of her purse so she could have a nice surprise when she found it.
however, she was always using it and having to replace it as she never had any money, so it never quite worked! |

sorry, i wont be looking for the owner of the fiver. however, if it was a handbag purse or wallet, honesty has got the better of me on more than one occasion, and we have found the owners of them, priceless, the look on their faces when you hand them an intact wallet/hanbag/purse. |

"we just found a £5.00 note on the pavement whilst walking the dog,in the rain. What's the most you've found and where did you find it? "
Found a £20 note once in a park. There was no one around to ask if it was theirs - so used it to pay for some treats for my daughter. It was a long time ago - she got some new paints and books. |

When my Dad died my Mom was going through his stuff to take to the charity shop and she found nearly £900 in a pocket of one of his cardigans. She shared it out between all the Grandchildren |

When I worked for a car hire company,we used to deliver and collect the cars from peoples homes/work etc.
I once collected a car from a hotel and when I pushed the drivers seat back found an envelope with £10,000 in it.
I went into the hotel but the woman had already left.
I handed it in to the office, and the woman came to collect it the next day.
She left £1 coin for me to get a drink with for being honest.
Still think I did the right thing, just she was a stingy git |

£100 in street last month in wallet (no addy or cards) - handed in to local police station and they took my details as seemingly it gets offered to me if not claimed.
Would go to charity in that case x |
