I love my vet...No, not my vest, although its bloody cool enough today to need a vest or a liberty bodice...my Vet'narian...

According to the Animal Concern people, Diamond the kitten was flea treated a fortnight ago, I've had her since Sunday and she'd been fine up until last night when she started scratching non stop and i could see she was lousy. Treated the other cats with spot on and got some flea tablets this morning but couldn't get them down her and no shops open in Arse End on a Saturday afternoon so as fleas can be fatal to kittens I rang the vets to ask if I could use Frontline spot on treatment on her as she's under a kilo weight - answer was no, tablet or spray only...vets only open for emergencies but duty vet left me a bottle of flea spray on the surgery window ledge saving me a 50 mile round trip to nearest Pets at Home on off chance they'd have the stuff I needed. Diamond is now sprayed, dried out, combed and sat peacefully on my knee...and I've doused my scratches in Dettol after my attempts at giving her a tablet and after she ripped my latex gloves to shreds when I was spraying her!

As kitty is now flea sorted and all you have is non life threatening claw injuries, I'd say it's a draw.
