Is there any point reporting no shows or is it a case of live and learn.

Need to know basis

Every thread I have read so far recommend they be reported so there must be a point. I assume admin look at the circumstances and explanation, as well as how often the person has been reported as 'no show' but I do not know what action they would take.

May be an admin or moderator or someone who has been on this site for longer than me could explain.

Declaring a 'no show' is open to abuse and badmouthing anyone is never a good idea even if they did deserve it!

But maybe there could be a button you tick on someone's profile and it only gets recorded within Admin of who ticked who when.

Then repeat offenders of either could get an automatic warning from admin.

I have never failed to turn up for a meet nor have I been let down so have no personal experience of the situation. I would imagine however there's probably not much that can b done about the situation. If someone fails to turn up n u report well I guess that's just your version of events whereas the other person may have an equally convincing story why they let you down. I don't see how admin could honestly evaluate which version was the more correct

one of the reasons for reporting no shows is because it might be a fake profile and admin need to know about them....although I suspect they are fighting a losing battle

I had a gangbang arranged yesterday for my T-girl mate: subby-sarah

26 guys confirmed

I always get as many guys as possible as usually half drop out!

So out of 26 guys only 4 turned up!!!

I remember chatting with one of the guys Saturday morning who assured me 100% that he was looking forward to the GB, but as we were chatting I just had the funny feeling he was yet another timewaster and No, he did not turn up! How sad is that? Some guys just love the thrill of talking about it... But WHY???

I've got a theory about this, it works for no shows in general, they get all excited about the meet and decide to have a tactical before hand to make sure they don't come too quick. Then they lose interest.

There are many things I think you can report on this site and expect the Admin team to take action. I don't think that no-shows are one of them.

Its activity outside of the confines of the site and as much as someone gets no-show marks against them ,there must be an appeals process or its open to abuse and vindictive site users. After all, I could argue I turned up but they gave me the wrong address in a text, etc,etc,etc.

If admin do process and store / rate these sort of reports, I would interested to know how they rate / handle / control them, though.

Often there is a reason but if not what does it gain you jumping up and down about it its not going to change the outcome. ts fair to report if you don't get an explication from the person first.

Do people actually use the Report button to tell Admin of a no show????

What I meant was a specific button that the system will automatically count and generate a msg to the offenders. Not waste good Admins time.

I was a no show. I didnt turn up. I stood a guy up.

Someone who set up a fake profile to stalk me after the last profile he was using I blocked him on.

I only realised who he was at the last minute, getting dressed. He had used pics of him both times, but some were older and his clothes and hair were different. After I didnt show he owned up to it, but said that if I only spent time with him I'd get to like him.

Only no show Ive ever done. Im a lot more bloody careful though.

A no show report button could be used. There would be the creepers, stalkers and butt hurters that would report no shows when there wasn't even a meet scheduled. Fab can't and shouldn't be held accountable for meets that members arrange between themselves. I would say it is a live and learn experience.

Yes I think it would definitely be one word against the other and not fabs business to intervene. This guy threatened me to the point I nearly had to go to the police. His photo had changed dramatically , obviously deliberate, but luckily the way someone words mails doesnt and Id saved some of his old ones. CSI Dudley here realised just in time. Fab admin closed his account when I told them everything.

So not turning up for a meet isnt always as cut and dried as it seems and when someone moans they were stood up well - maybe - just MAYBE - there are two sides.

I think its a case of live and learn, there really anything Admin can do, if they do delete the account there is nothing stopping them from setting up a new one and it is also open to abuse if someone took a dislike and you don't know, there could be a genuine reason for not turning up.

I usually try and arrange a social meet that it combined with something else I am doing, if I was going shopping I would arrange the meet before or afterwards, that way it isnt a wasn't journey.

Why would you ever consider reporting a no show, just because someone is a member of a site, you cant honestly expect anyone to hold your hand and make sure that plans work out, all the site can do is introduce you to profiles, the rest is up to you,

Remember lots of people here are in marriages or relationships and all they want is a knee trembler, not a very important deal to most, family, work, money, lots of things have to come first.

Being a C/D I always advertise when im dressed and available on my profile and only arrange to meet on that day, Touch wood, I haven't been let down yet, and I expect to get treated how I treat others, I certainly wouldn't go crying to someone else if I was let down, just put it down to experience, learn from it, and don't make the same mistake again.

It does happen no shows, had to cancel a meet this weekend myself, stuff happens in life that can't be avoided at times and you shouldn't put swinging meets before family or friends etc.

If your upset and someone has said on way etc and doesn't turn up to meet then report them, nothing will happen unfortunately from Admin you won't even get a reply and they will still be on the site!! as I know as in the past few months I have turned up at a house in Liverpool to have no one answer the door and we had spoken on phone 30 minutes before turning up.

I reported but heard nothing back ah well.

This happens loads, couple of years ago was invited to a party in Wrexham with 4 other couples and 2 single women they invited 20 single guys before and during the night and I was the only one to show up, I had a truly amazing evening

if your a single guy turn up to parties as you will be the exception and get all the attention

No shows are a problem in all walks of life, I hate them with a passion. Courtesy and good manners dictate that if you make an arrangement you stick with it or at least give the other party ample notice that you have changed your mind. Drove for two hours at the weekend to look at a car I was interested in buying (cash burning a hole in my pocket) when I arrived, nobody home, eventually made telephone contact the guy calmly said he had changed his plans and would not be coming home anytime soon. Not sure if he was able to place his car where I suggested.

Its about time people took responsibility for their own actions, rather than expect to be wrapped in cotton wool.

WE should all have a standard vetting procedure, for our own safety,

Time is the most precious gift we have.

It is our responsibility to use it wisely.

Since joining the site I have had 11 meets, all but one showed up on time, one was 30 minutes late due to traffic, but he did text me to let me know.

Mind you, sex is such a small part of my life, I certainly never expect anything, so I can never be disappointed.

As for time wasting, I only have meets at my play room, which is on my farm, so don't have to travel far !

On one site I'm on it records your percentage rate at responding to messages. However, that is easy as it just ticks off when you have opened the message to read and then whether you have clicked reply or not.

In the case of recording no shows, it would be more tricky as when does a meet become on and official? Is there a process for dealing with people whose car is hit by an asteroid on the way and have a genuine reason for not showing and so on, would there be a way of making sure that people couldn't use it maliciously?

But to tell people that your on your way. Not turn up. And ignore people when they sent txt askin where you are ???? Are you still coming ??? Is just down right rude and a waist of people's time grrrrrrr Rant over. There FECCIN blocked now anyway

If you get them then report it must have some effect or it wouldn't be there. In reality though it makes more sense in screening potential meets better and getting firm commitment out of them prior to arranging to meet although you can't stop them all together what ever you do.
