I watch district 9 a few nites ago, been ages since I watched it..and I was amazed how better it looks than almost ANY of this years special effects blockbusters.. the aliens are seamlessly in our environment its just amazing!
also gave world war z a second chance...its still fucking pish |

I agree on both. Elysium is by the same director and prodduction company and they kick the arse off anyone else.
WWZ was never going to be great the moment they announced it was a departure from the source material. Brad Pitt and horror film = marathon zombie oxfam special |

The end 2 on 1 fight in that was gut wrenching. Very impressed. Another similar film that came out first was The Horde. A French zombie film featuring corrupt cops and criminal enemies stuck together at the beginning of the zombie apocalypse just when one attempt to execute one gang turned in that gang's favour. Its not just zombies, the fight scenes are fucking mental |

That's the one, and I'm now part way through the Dark Half lol thats a brilliant Stephen King one too, directed by zombie legend George Romero and starring Timothy Hutton and a young Michael Rooker (Merle from Walking Dead). Such a tense and untypical suspense chiller |
