Should breastfeeding be allowed in public places or not. Im only asking this because today while I was on the bus this lady got on the bus and she sat opposite me and start breastfeeding. |

so you'd rather the baby go hungry just because people can't deal with a nipple or boob on show!! society is pretty screwed up if this offends them!! breastfeeding should be allowed in public. most women who do it cover themselves up as im sure they dont want prying eyes. |

I still have absolutely no idea how anyone could be offended by a woman breastfeeding in public. I have never seen a woman be anything but discreet when doing so.
If you are one of the weirdos who are offended, get the hell over it. You being offended is YOUR problem, not the problem of the lady feeding her child. |

when I was breastfeeding I doubt anyone saw more than a glimpse of nipple if they even saw that. I can usually see other points of view a little bit but I really can't understand anyone who objects to breastfeeding. |

Yes absolutely one should be able to feed anywhere I am sure she had a shawl or nappy over baby's head .. women dont usually expose all whilst feeding.. |

Im sure she was more subtle than that... As I don't know anyone that gets both breasts out.. a quick flash before settling baby on maybe. However, if baby wants feeding.. baby needs feeding. Mum feeds. |

to be fair boobs have been overly sexualised by media and even sites like this so its not surprising that people are taken a back a little when they see one being popped out in a public place.

I think there is actually a law against stopping mothers breastfeeding in public. Unfortunately not all mothers can breastfeed due to medical reasons like myself |

I breast fed all my kids I did it so no one saw a thing I wouldn't of just got half naked but its the most natural thing in the world the people who complain of a mother breast feeding in public would still moan if the baby was screaming because it needed feeding |

Yes they should if the baby is hungry why not...and on a bus she is limited as to where to go.
I always carried a large scarf or shawl to cover myself if they needed a feed but if it had to be done it was. |

I only fed one of mine for a week, it was a nightmare for me and my baby. I never breastfed 2nd baby at all. I, personally wouldn't have done it in public, but it is a natural thing and I think women shouldn't be penalised or asked to go elsewhere to feed their baby. There are ways. People who object can move away or look the other way - nothing to see anyway |
